Head Coach/Program Director FT

Imagine Gymnastics Club located in Olds and Carstairs Alberta is seeking an experienced, organized and positive individual to take over the position of Head Coach/Program Director as our current Head Coach phases out of the position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to liaise with our current Head Coach with the intention of taking over the role in our organization within one year.  IGC offers a wide variety of competitive and recreational programs to communities located between Calgary and Red Deer. This position will require weekday afternoon-evening and weekend hours. We are a growing club, offer competitive wages and look forward to fresh energy and new ideas to make IGC a fun and efficiently run sport organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the current Head Coach on administrative and coaching roles with the view of taking over the Head Coach role

• Coach competitive athletes in both Olds and Carstairs, helping them with their yearly goals and to achieve their full potential

• Prepare for meets and Showcase in conjunction with Board of Directors and Committees

• Coach Lead for planning our annual Hay City Classic Meet in conjunction with the Competition Director

• Work with Coaching and Administrative staff to ensure administrative tasks are done in a timely manner

• Assist in hiring/promoting coaching staff

• Coordinate scheduling of Recreation and Competitive programs with the Board of Directors

• Supervise Competitive and Recreational coaching staff 

• Organize and track professional development for staff, ensure all coaching staff update certification in a timely manner

• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date 

• Report to Board of Directors with any staffing/athlete conflicts so that they can be resolved in a coordinated fashion

• Prepare monthly Coach Report for the Board of Directors

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience in a gymnastics setting with administrative and coaching roles

• NCCP Gymnastics Foundations Certified or Comp 2 Artistic Gymnastics, Comp 3 preferred

• Knowledge of Sportsoft and Uplifter

• Current First Aid

• Respect in Sport

• Criminal Record Check upon Hiring
